A Milestone Celebration: A Combined 55 Years of Community at The Wexford and Lakeview Commons

In the Community

October was a month of celebration as two of our communities, The Wexford Independent Living and Lakeview Commons Assisted Living, marked significant anniversaries. The Wexford celebrated 30 years of providing exceptional senior living, while Lakeview Commons honored its 25th year. Together, these milestones represent a combined 55 years of fostering vibrant, supportive, and caring communities for residents, families, and staff.

To commemorate this special occasion, the communities hosted a combined anniversary party for residents, families, and staff. It was an opportunity for everyone to gather and celebrate the deep bonds and sense of family that define life at both locations. The celebration featured live music from local favorites Rex and Guy along with a spirited hoedown dance. The highlight of the evening was a homecoming-style ceremony, where a king and queen were crowned, honoring residents who embody the spirit of their communities. At The Wexford, King Don Henricks and Queen Elizabeth “Beth” Juleskusky proudly wore their crowns, while at Lakeview, King Buck Morning and Queen Gwen Morrow were honored for their warmth and community spirit.

For three decades, The Wexford Independent Living has been a cornerstone of quality senior living in Loveland, known for its warm atmosphere and compassionate care. The community is built on a foundation of connection, where every person is treated like family.

“What makes The Wexford so special – and why I love it here – are the people who make it feel like home and family. Our culture is built on respect, empathy, and compassion, and because of that, everything falls beautifully into place. The Wexford is a wonderful place to work and a great home for our residents.”

 – Sam Bonnell, Administrator

For a quarter-century, Lakeview Commons Assisted Living has offered a place of belonging and purpose. It stands as a shining example of how a senior living community can be a place where individuals are valued, respected, and inspired to live life to the fullest. The dedication of the staff and the trust of residents and their families have been the driving force behind its success.

“Lakeview isn’t just a place to live or work – it’s a community where you belong and find purpose. Our residents are treated with kindness and respect because of our amazing staff. Their stories, laughter, and trust inspire us to serve with excellence. At Lakeview, you truly feel at home; it’s a place where people come to feel alive.”

– Jaya Lewis, Administrator

Jaya also extended her gratitude to those who built and sustained the community. “Thank you to Bob Wilson for taking a chance 25 years ago and to our residents, families, and staff – past, present, and future – for your support.”

As we look back on these incredible milestones, we are filled with gratitude for the residents who have entrusted us with their care, the families who have become part of our extended community, and the staff whose dedication makes it all possible.

We are proud of the vibrant, welcoming environments at The Wexford Independent Living and Lakeview Commons Assisted Living and look forward to continuing to care for seniors with the high-quality, compassionate support they deserve!
