Even in independent living, where residents may need less support, the transition can be emotional. Anna Von Dreele, Administrator of The Windsor and Westwood Patio Homes, noted, “It may be independent living, but it’s still a major adjustment. Giving up space and familiar items can feel like a loss of independence. We walk alongside each person to honor their journey.”
